Kevin has been a great mechanic & if you talk with him he understands the problem but will also work with you if the price doesn't work or do the work has to be done than allow you to come back when you can afford what else needs to be done. I brought in my Mercedes with a mystery issue, my car died will driving... Kevin went through all the usual suspects and couldn't find anything wrong... the check engine light wasn't on so a diagnositc can't be performed. I then asked him to check the spark plugs and fuel pump and they all checked out to be in good condition. The problem still hasn't been diagnosed, but Kevin also is not a Mercedes specialist.Kevin didn't charge for any diagnostic work, even though the car had been there for two days. He is simply an honest businessman. I will surely be back for any future repair needs.

I went to Kevin for an alternator which he gave an fair and competitive price. However, his integrity and honesty were demonstrated when he called me up and stated that the alternator was fine. He ran full diagnostic tests and said the battery was not working well. Additionally, he was thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Additionally, he was impartial to whether I purchased one on my own or not. His labor policy states 82 for an hour and it took less than a half-an hour which is what he charged me. I must say Kevin truly exemplifies SERVICE. Getting my car fixed will no longer be somewhat of a fearful experience due to working with a trustworthy individual like Kevin. 1st time: he fixed my car cheaper than anyone else and prioritized the repairs to go along with my budget. 2nd time: he was honest with me and told me that my transmission replacement would cost about as much as the car was worth... when he could have easily tried to get 2000 bucks for the repairs and I would have been none the wiser. I recently purchased a used Subaru Impreza for my 16-year-old. During the test drive, I mentioned that it was pretty darn bouncy and that perhaps the struts needed to be replaced. The dealer assured me all was fine. When it was time for the car's first oil change, I asked my mechanic to check on the struts. He said both front and rear needed to be replaced. After reviewing Yelp accounts for mechanics in Aurora, I came across Kevin's Automotive. His reviews were stellar, so I decided to give him a try. After looking at the car, he said the rear struts were bad, but the front struts would last another six months. He did the work and the car rides great. Even better, his price was lower than what I was quoted. He said the work didn't take him quite as long as expected. I plan to have him replace the fronts in a few months. Kevin could easily have said both sets needed to be replaced. After all, I told him that's what I thought the car needed. But he didn't. He told me the truth and has earned my respect. Kevin's Automotive is located less than five minutes from I-225 and 6th Avenue. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and highly ethical mechanic, give Kevin a try. I had purchased a used car for my husband, and the problem when we purchased was that the clutch was slipping. We purchased a clutch, and called up Kevin, and had the BEST experience at a mechanic we have ever had! Kevin gave us a reasonable estimate, called us when there were additional issues that had to be dealt with, and was amazingly honest about what the car needed! We had our clutch replaced, our flywheel was inspected and replaced, and we have plans to go back to Kevin when we do more repairs! I am so amazed with the service we received with Kevin, I have already introduced my family to this wonderful place! My father in law has had work done on his car, and he is amazed at the $1100 job he got done for under $300! I WILL recommend Kevin's for ANY auto service. I am in a state of shock at how much I enjoyed having my car fixed! Kevin has amazing personality, and knows just how to talk to people. He is knowledgeable, skilled, and has a great location, very easy to find. I wish I could give a higher rating than Excellent!!
