I brought my car to Kevin’s a few weeks ago because my engine overheated. The service I received was good enough, also it did end up costing double what they had originally quoted me. When I go to get into my car, I see a large dent and scratch on my driver side door. I take a picture of it and go in to talk to someone about it. I spoke with the owner, Kevin, and he was the least helpful man I ever met. We went out so I could show him the damage and hardly said anything and seemed to just be waiting for me to say it’s okay and leave. When I asked about getting it fixed he said he’d talk to a friend of his and he’ll be in touch. That’s the last time I was able to speak with Kevin. I had to call several times to try to get ahold of him because he never contacted me. Each time, an employee said he was away or unable to talk and each time I asked him to call me. He never did. Eventually, an employee told me that his friend would charge $500 to fix my door and he would be willing to pay $100 of that. That’s unacceptable. I left my car in their car and it was returned to me damaged. This is their responsibility to have to repaired. For the past week or so I’ve been continuing to call to try and speak with Kevin, and each time I’m told he’s not there and will call me back. He never does. The service I received was fine, they fixed my car and it’s running fine now. However, it is damaged and Kevin is cowering behind his employees instead of facing this situation. I’m very disappointed in this business.

Megan, I read your review and wanted to give my side of it which you provided false information. Your 2010 Mini Cooper you brought to us was overheating and you were happy with the repair. As the owner of the business I did go out with you to look at your vehicles damage you claimed. I inspected the door and you pointed out the door chips made from a car door resting on your door. You had said that the chips were not there before. I pointed out the dent by your mirror and you said it was there before and you were not really sure about any other damages. I kindly told you that we are not responsible for any damages (or theft) to customers cars which is normal operations of business. I explained all the other businesses that share the parking have experienced the same issue with their customers. I can not control these problems. I took pictures of your door damage. I told you that I would contact an business associate (friend) who owns does auto body repair and get an estimate for you. I did not call you back but had my service manager call you back with a quote of $500.00 to repair the door including fixing the dent that was there. I offered to pay $200.00 of the estimate (not $100.00 as you claimed). You told my manager when he contacted you about my offer that it was not acceptable and was not happy. Just to clear up a few more things, you have always had communications with my manager who was always there to answer your calls and questions. Not just an employee. Again he relayed the information to you for what I would offer to do. I didn't have to offer anything. We have signs on the building and printed on your receipt that states we are not responsible for damage out of our control. I am happy that we repaired your vehicle especially after finding one of the causes for it overheating caused by another repair shop previous to us. I am sorry I did not return your call personally. Due to my health circumstances ( I should not have to share with you) I stay at my residence and try to work from home. Reality is you won't accept my offer to pay almost half of what it would cost to repair and repaint your car door (including dents not caused by KAS LLC.) Then you want to personally attack my character online without some of your facts even being correct is offensive and immature. More or less you have a big personal problem. Suggest you grow up when handling business affairs with others. Please do not bring your vehicle back for anything regarding repairs. Your warranty is now void and your not privileged here. Kevin

Avoid this place it's a scam the owner has a face and energy I didn't trust but I went to get my brakes done they were fine for the first week after that they started squealing and I called Kevin's and informed them the brakes were squealing again and I had to pay $112 for labor to fix a problem that wasn't my fault. Also another time I called and asked how much to change my spark plugs Kevin said he would call back and never did. Avoid this place it's not worth the stress. This had nothing to do with race I'm mixed dude...

Josh Young, I read this review about you being upset that you had to have your brakes replaced a second time. Just to remind you that you came in on your own free will and no one pressured you to get the brakes replaced with my company. If you felt this way when you came in, maybe you should have turned around and gone some where else? No one brought you here but yourself. FACT- when you came back for us to inspect your brakes (3 weeks later) you were told that the brake rotors and pads were ruined due to EXCESSIVE HEAT DAMAGE from your driving habits. FACT- I asked you probing questions and you answered that you do mountain and stop and go traffic driving for LYFT. I explained to you the bluing of the metal caused on the brake rotors to warp due to OVER HEATING. There were no defective parts. I know you did not like the answer but if the truth hurts,so be it. Explained I can't return your parts for credit due to this. With that said YOU voided any warranty. FACT- I replaced your brake parts (ceramic brake pads & new rotors) as a good gesture NO CHARGE and you agreed to pay the labor charge of $112.00. I did not have to do that. Making a review to complain about a problem you caused yourself makes a lot of sense. I hope you find a repair shop that fits YOUR needs. Thank you.

Very frustrating experience. First off, never heard of a mechanic charging $50 just to look at your car. Very shady, they do this just to secure the work and we should've left as soon as he told us that, big mistake. If you go to Kevin's you should expect the same thing. We called Kevin's Friday morning and they said bring it around 1 P.M. and they will look at it that day. 4:45 comes around and we have not heard from them so we give them a call... No answer, must've closed early. Weekend goes by without hearing from them and we are stranded without a car and have to miss work Monday, thanks Kevin. Call Monday morning and they say they are about to look at it. By noon we still have not heard from them so we call again, "you are next in line and we are going to look at it.". At 3:30 P.M. we call because we have not heard and they say It will be $400 (for a rear brake line the typical cost is around $250ish). Well we don't have a choice and tell him to fix it and he says it will be done tomorrow (Tuesday). Tuesday at 3:30 we called and he told us that they ordered the wrong parts and will "definitely have it ready tomorrow".Kevin finally had it ready Wednesday afternoon. Long story short, save time and money but staying away from Kevin and this sham. I notice Kevin likes to respond to his customer's reviews and make excuses to justify the poor work ethic and shady business, so just be aware.

Hi Michael, I wanted to personally reply to your review and let you know that I apologize that you had a frustrating experience with us, this is certainly not our intent. An hour of diagnostic labor upon an initial visit is standard in the industry to determine what repairs are needed. It's not to secure the work, it's to pay the technician for the time they spend on the vehicle. Most shops charge over $120 to perform this diagnosis or evaluation. I cut our normal rate in half for you because your vehicle's problem was pretty straightforward and it only took my technician about half an hour to look at it and evaluate a course of repair. In your case the hard brake line to the rear brakes was rusted through and leaking. You had been knowingly driving it like this for a week, adding brake fluid as needed. I'm not sure if you realize that you were putting lives at risk by driving your vehicle when it was unsafe; one emergency braking event and you would have lost all braking and caused a potentially fatal crash on the road. When the woman I worked with dropped the vehicle off, we were fairly busy and I very clearly told her that we would try to get it looked at that day but that it might be Monday before we would be able to get to it. I also stated this when she called to set the appointment. She said that was ok. We did not close early on Friday, and our outgoing voicemail message clearly says to leave a message and we will call back. No message was left, so I wasn't aware that you called. I apologize that I did not provide a status update phone call on Friday but that was because I thought we were ok to have the vehicle looked at on Monday. To be clear, it is not our responsibility to get you to work on Monday while your vehicle is down for repairs. The brake line in question was a hard brake line that needed to be fabricated (a common procedure) because a replacement part was not available due to the age of the vehicle. The rear brake hose also needed to be replaced because the fitting where it joins the hard line was rusted beyond repair. I'm not sure where you're getting your "$250ish" figure from, I thought I adequately explained the repairs and costs that were needed to make the vehicle safe again. We ordered the correct brake line and our supplier sent the wrong one. Despite this being out of our control, we corrected the problem as quickly as we could. Unfortunately, due to the nature of automotive repair, and especially on an older vehicle with a lot of rust like yours, repairs cannot always be completed on a strict timeline. We do our best to get vehicles fixed and back on the road as quickly as possible, but unforeseen circumstances sometimes delay the repair process, as happened in your case. I apologize again if I did not adequately communicate this to you. Thank you for your feedback and I hope you find a repair shop that meets your needs.

First time bringing my car to Kevin, but he's got a life long customer here. Very honest, very fairly priced, no pressure on any repairs. Extremely fast on repairs, dropped my car off without an appointment and had it fixed and keys in hand the next day. I will definitely bring my car back here for any further repairs.

Thank so much for your positive review, we appreciate it!

Treats tech's & people poorly & throws used/bad parts @ the issue without diagnosis

"MUST READ" Please disregard this review from Michael Castor. He was terminated due to incompetence and sadly being a Colorado Sex Offender. I gave him a chance to prove himself and this is the retaliation from him. I can't justify second chances for felons. Its not good business.
