I brought in my Mercedes with a mystery issue, my car died will driving... Kevin went through all the usual suspects and couldn't find anything wrong... the check engine light wasn't on so a diagnositc can't be performed. I then asked him to check the spark plugs and fuel pump and they all checked out to be in good condition. The problem still hasn't been diagnosed, but Kevin also is not a Mercedes specialist.Kevin didn't charge for any diagnostic work, even though the car had been there for two days. He is simply an honest businessman. I will surely be back for any future repair needs.

I went to Kevin for an alternator which he gave an fair and competitive price. However, his integrity and honesty were demonstrated when he called me up and stated that the alternator was fine. He ran full diagnostic tests and said the battery was not working well. Additionally, he was thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Additionally, he was impartial to whether I purchased one on my own or not. His labor policy states 82 for an hour and it took less than a half-an hour which is what he charged me. I must say Kevin truly exemplifies SERVICE. Getting my car fixed will no longer be somewhat of a fearful experience due to working with a trustworthy individual like Kevin. 1st time: he fixed my car cheaper than anyone else and prioritized the repairs to go along with my budget. 2nd time: he was honest with me and told me that my transmission replacement would cost about as much as the car was worth... when he could have easily tried to get 2000 bucks for the repairs and I would have been none the wiser. I recently purchased a used Subaru Impreza for my 16-year-old. During the test drive, I mentioned that it was pretty darn bouncy and that perhaps the struts needed to be replaced. The dealer assured me all was fine. When it was time for the car's first oil change, I asked my mechanic to check on the struts. He said both front and rear needed to be replaced. After reviewing Yelp accounts for mechanics in Aurora, I came across Kevin's Automotive. His reviews were stellar, so I decided to give him a try. After looking at the car, he said the rear struts were bad, but the front struts would last another six months. He did the work and the car rides great. Even better, his price was lower than what I was quoted. He said the work didn't take him quite as long as expected. I plan to have him replace the fronts in a few months. Kevin could easily have said both sets needed to be replaced. After all, I told him that's what I thought the car needed. But he didn't. He told me the truth and has earned my respect. Kevin's Automotive is located less than five minutes from I-225 and 6th Avenue. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and highly ethical mechanic, give Kevin a try. I had purchased a used car for my husband, and the problem when we purchased was that the clutch was slipping. We purchased a clutch, and called up Kevin, and had the BEST experience at a mechanic we have ever had! Kevin gave us a reasonable estimate, called us when there were additional issues that had to be dealt with, and was amazingly honest about what the car needed! We had our clutch replaced, our flywheel was inspected and replaced, and we have plans to go back to Kevin when we do more repairs! I am so amazed with the service we received with Kevin, I have already introduced my family to this wonderful place! My father in law has had work done on his car, and he is amazed at the $1100 job he got done for under $300! I WILL recommend Kevin's for ANY auto service. I am in a state of shock at how much I enjoyed having my car fixed! Kevin has amazing personality, and knows just how to talk to people. He is knowledgeable, skilled, and has a great location, very easy to find. I wish I could give a higher rating than Excellent!!

I have used Kevin's for all of my repairs the past 2 years and I will never go anywhere else. In 2012, my engine light went on and after a quick diagnosis, I found I had a faulty O2 sensor. I bought a replacement and tried to have a friend do it but he couldn't as my O2 sensor is underneath my car. Since my engine light was on, I would fail my emissions. I spent a lot of time looking around and each mechanic shop I called quoted me at least $300-$400. $150 to find "what's wrong". The part, the labor, etc. It was ridiculous for a $20 part. I found Kevin's Automatic and called them for a quote. I told him I had the part and was wondering how much labor would be. He quoted me $35. I was in absolute shock. It was literally hundreds of dollars cheaper than everyone was quoting me! I arrived at Kevin's and it's a small little mechanic shop. It had Wifi though, which was nice to keep my 1 year old entertained with an online movie. I had to come in and let my engine cool and then my car was taken back. I was there a total of one hour, half an hour to let my engine cool and half an hour to replace my O2 sensor. I found out that bunnies had eaten through it and it was replaced no problem. I was quoted $35 and left paying $35. I passed my emissions with flying colors. In 2013, I had noticed my car was a bit whiny and rattling recently but I don't know much about cars. I went into get a routine brake replacement at another shop and they called me and asked if I knew my car was rattling, which of course I did. Then they told me it was my alternator about to give out! Don't get my wrong, I love my brake shop, but they quoted me almost $500! I knew someone who could do a lot better. I went out and bought my alternator from AutoZone: $170 + $50 refundable core charge and I had a $20 off a $100 purchase so $150 before the core charge. Called Kevin next, guess what he quoted me? $80. One hour of labor. Perfect for me! Went in a few days later, my daughter was with me again, everyone was very hospitable and nice as usual. My car was out in 2 hours, 1 to cool down, 1 for work, as quoted. And again, I was quoted $80 and I left paying $80. My car sounds and works AMAZINGLY. Quoted by Brakes Plus: $500. Amount I Paid Using Kevin: $230. I could not be happier. Thanks again Kevin and everyone else, I hopefully won't have to be back but with my car, more than likely will, haha!

My 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport was in desperate need of a Timing belt service, I was hesitant to let anyone touch my Monty other than the Dealership but the price was going to be too much 1,100+ and saw Kevin on Craigslist I read many great reviews about his workmanship and customer service, Kevin gave me a great price to replace my timing belt, water pump, drive belts, and coolant like $270 parts excluded cause I had ordered my parts to make sure all was OE genuine, Kevin worked with me on a day that I could drop off my Monty and he returned my truck in less than 24hrs, upon arriving Kevin was very professional, he listened to my request of seeing and examining old parts, now I have my Montero Sport driving like new with no timing belt excruciating noise, they did an outstanding job and customer service was great from start to finish. I will absolutely recommend Kevin's Automotive to my family and friends going forward and give my business to Kevin in the future. Kevin is right! he gets the job done right the first time.
